Praying, Living, & Loving the Franciscan Way
Some of our Sisters really felt love today and were surprised by homemade Valentine cards from the staff at Cardinal Stritch University!
Over the weekend, Sisters joined many of the religious life in the Archdiocese for a time of gratitude at the Ministry Feast for area priests and sisters, sponsored by the South Milwaukee Knights of Columbus #1709. "It is quite a feast and they treat us royally," reported Sr. KD Strandell. A lovely evening of conversation, laughs, & a delicious meal were enjoyed by all.
Black History Month celebrates accomplishments of African-Americans and marks their roles in U.S. history. Milwaukee has its own history of prominent black Americans and their achievements. Please visit

There were 13 soups to sample and feast on and everyone left with full stomachs. Multiple people said that it was very difficult to vote because all the soups were so good. Our top 3 soups (voted on by all those who attended) were as follows:
1st Place – French Cabbage – Kristin (Nursing) 2nd Place – Broccoli Cheese – Dylan (Maintenance) 3rd Place – Zuppa – Chrissy (Fund Development/Switchboard) As usual, these events wouldn’t be possible without all the wonderful chefs who donate their time and wonderful creations but also those who attend to sample and vote! |
