The "Beyond Now Group", sisters in our congregation who entered the community after 1964, had a gathering at Siena Retreat Center in Racine. Sr. Mary Hughes, OP facilitated the gathering where sisters shared on answers to some critical questions for the future.

Join our Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi Team ~ Capuchins’ Run-Walk for the Hungry!!!
For the 10th year, the Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi will participate in the Capuchins’ Run-Walk for the Hungry as a sponsor and as a team. This event will be held at Polish Fest on Friday, June 16, 2017, from 7:00–8:30 p.m. Registration is open to join our Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi team as a runner, walker, cheerleader or donor (any amount). The registration fees for runners are $30 for adults and $20 for children; fees for walkers are $25 for adults and $15 for children. Wrist bands from the Run-Walk will give free entry to Polish Fest all three days. Register online before June 4 at www.capuchinsrunwalkforthehungry.org Click on Join a Team and scroll to Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi. All of the proceeds support the Capuchins’ ministry to the poor, the hungry and the homeless. They operate two sites: St. Ben’s Community Meal and the House of Peace. The House of Peace’s Emergency Food Pantry serves over 34,000 individuals each year. St. Ben’s Community Meal serves over 105,000 meals annually. The Capuchins also distribute clothing, hygiene bags, bedding, bus tickets for medical visits and much more. Looking to enjoy a little fresh air, some gardening, and help out our sisters?
