Praying, Living, & Loving the Franciscan Way
Sisters observed National Catholic Sisters' Week and the Feast of St. Joseph with a St. Joseph Altar Celebration!
National Catholic Sisters’ Week is an annual celebration that takes place March 8-14. ”Created to honor women religious and bring greater focus to the lives of these incredible women". The tradition of the St. Joseph Altar, commemorating the relief St. Joseph provided during a famine in Sicily, began in the late 1800’s when Sicilian immigrants settled in New Orleans. Today, this celebration is a continued expression of gratitude for any sort of fortune.
